The problem: Extensive seal and polish build up over many years had covered the floor.
The work completed: Chemical removal was advised to remove the existing finish followed by the application of new polyurethane seal. A full maintenance program including machine was installed to extend the life of the surface.

The problem: The floor had many loose blocks which made the walking surface a Health and Safety issue for the Church due to the gaps, loose blocks and unevenness of the floor.
The work completed: Uplift loose pine blocks, clean, repair, replace the broken ones and re-seat. Then professionally sand, fill and apply seal to provide a flat and easy-to-clean surface.

The problem: The floor could not be sanded and a new non-slip surface suitable for badminton players was required. An ongoing maintenance system was also needed.
The work completed: Deep machine clean, non sanding preparation, badminton court re-marked and application of commercial strength seal. A new machine was purchased and is used by the church. This ensures the surface is continually cleaned and protected at low cost.

The problem: The Granwood floor was worn, deeply scratched and difficult to keep clean.
The work completed: The floor was sanded using our own Granwood approved equipment to minimize dust and coats of Granguard polyurethane seal were applied to ensure maximum protection.

The problem: The floor showed signs of wear. The badminton court tape was getting torn becoming unsightly.
The work completed: The floor did not require sanding, so was scrubbed and rotary abraded. A new badminton court was painted and protected with three coats of polyurethane seal.

The problem: The majority of the floor’s oak blocks were loose. This was considered a safety hazard by the Church. The surface was uneven and worn. As there was little existing lacquer, it made it very difficult to keep clean.
The work completed: Roger Hyde Limited had to carefully remove the existing blocks, clean them and then reseat using bitumen based adhesive to maintain the existing damp proof course. Floor was progressively sanded; natural gaps were filled and then re-sealed.
