This is why we measure the co-efficient of friction of the floor, the depth of seal and the moisture levels. Once assessed, we can then offer you the best options available. For wood and Granwood floor surfaces, this includes professional sanding. However, not all floors need this service.
For many, a non-sanding preparation provides the perfect result of an improved, slip resistant floor which is easier to clean and maintain.
Wood and Granwood professional sanding:

We have developed a dust filtration process which reduces dust by 99%. This is not only better for us, as we can see what we are doing, but it also means less cleaning down and a better finish, as the airborne dust does not contaminate the seal during the curing process.
For sports floors we provide a full court marking service using approved games paint. The court markings are applied followed by a minimum of two coats of seal for additional protection.
And rest assured, we only use recommended industry leading polyurethane seals to ensure maximum protection.
Non-sanding Floorsave preparation:
Few people realise that sanding a wood floor can reduce its life by up to 25 years. Only when it is needed, do we recommend this process.
Alternatively, our non-sanding Floorsave process employs technically advanced equipment and materials ensuring that client inconvenience and floor downtime is minimised.
The Floorsave process allows our trained technicians to chemically treat wood and Granwood surfaces, safely removing dirt and residue such as chewing gum, while preserving painted lines.
Once dried and carefully rotary abraded to achieve maximum adhesion, industry leading, commercial strength polyurethane seal is applied. High quality water-based seals allow for quick drying and the floor is then ready for use within hours.
Stone and Terrazzo floors: Now they can look as good as new and remain easy to clean…
Stone surfaces traditionally can be difficult to keep looking good. But not any longer.
With careful preparation (based on our years of experience), a stone or terrazzo floor surface can be fully restored and filled if required. With our unique Pumice system, we can train you or your cleaning team to maintain the surface with a high gloss or matt finish, without needing potentially expensive (and premature) re-grinding.
Traditional restoration and maintenance uses diamonds and powder polishes. This can be costly and be overkill for what is really needed and can lead to disappointing results.
We have developed a maintenance system using pumice which is more environmentally friendly and more effective. We can either complete this work for you, or teach you to complete your own maintenance.
