To professionally sand a floor, it is vital that the right abrasives are used, which is determined after proper assessment of the floor takes place during the site visit. We take the time to take just the right amount off the floor and not over-sand, which takes skill and experience to achieve the right adhesion. One of the biggest causes of lacquer peeling, is through improper floor preparation, as we offer a guarantee, we take the time to ensure the floor preparation is correct, which includes a comprehensive vacuum and tack mop to remove surface dust and debris, a cause of lacquer delamination.
The right finish is then chosen taking into account the current and future activities and ongoing maintenance of your floor. It is essential the right finish is applied to your floor. This could be a ultra-hard wearing two-pack polyurethane lacquer, a quick drying single-pack lacquer, or UV curing oil. The finish can be enhanced further with a choice of ultra-matt, matt, and satin or gloss finish. Oils provide a more natural looking surface, coloured oils and stains are also available.
For sports floors, our professional court marking service uses approved line marking paints, which is protected by a minimum of two coats of lacquer, for additional longevity. We only use recommended industry leading finishes.
